Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM day shift

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that preserves dignity
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
Document care provided in the chart and communicate clearly with the care team
Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control practices

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Comfortable with physical aspects of the role — lifting, standing, and assisting patients
Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care and hygiene procedures
Ability to take and record accurate vital signs
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Basic charting/record-keeping and clear verbal communication
Compassionate bedside manner and ability to work well within a care team
