Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days vary (per-diem), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Document resident care and observations clearly to ensure continuity of care
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs and care plans
Help create a warm, welcoming environment that promotes independence and well-being

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in New Mexico
Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable with hands-on resident care and basic clinical tasks
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of infection control and standard precautions
Familiarity with ADLs and assisting residents with daily needs
Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition
Basic charting and documentation skills
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
