Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, reporting changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and mobility, maintaining resident dignity
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Document care accurately and timely in the resident chart
• Observe, report and collaborate with the care team on resident needs and concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized environment and follow infection control procedures

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with transfers and personal care; ability to stand and lift as required
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of resident care and ADLs
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Infection prevention and safety awareness
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and multidisciplinary teams
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
