Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning of residents
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and patient observations
• Support meal assistance, personal hygiene, and dressing needs with dignity
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Current, valid CNA certification (state-issued) required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus
• Able to pass background check and drug screen as required
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on per diem shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with resident transfers, safe lifting techniques, and mobility assistance
• Proficient in taking/recording vital signs and observing changes in condition
• Basic knowledge of infection control and standard precautions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and team members
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and follow-through
• Compassionate patient-centered approach and good time management
