Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and positioning while prioritizing dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure clear handoffs during shift changes
• Follow infection prevention protocols and promote a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Comfort working overnight shifts and supporting a fast-paced care environment
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus but not always required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
• Basic vital signs collection and observation skills
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Effective verbal and written communication for documentation and handoffs
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks during overnight shifts
• Teamwork and collaboration with nursing staff and other departments
