Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Support mobility and transfers safely while using proper body mechanics
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations
• Communicate changes in patient condition clearly to nursing staff and the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families
• Document care accurately and timely in the designated records system
• Assist with meal service and ensure dietary needs are followed
• Participate in unit teamwork to promote efficient, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with lifts, transfers, and mobility support
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and infection control practices
• Basic vital sign assessment and charting
• Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
• Effective, compassionate communication with patients and families
• Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
• Team collaboration and following care plan instructions
