Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents—bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Monitor residents’ condition and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and use of mobility aids to promote independence
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure hydration/nutrition needs are met
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection-control protocols and keep resident spaces clean and comfortable
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass state-required background checks and health screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude
• Availability for overnight/night shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and ADL support
• Safe transfer and lifting techniques
• Charting and documentation best practices
• Infection prevention and safety procedures
• Effective communication with residents and care teams
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
