Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem schedule (days vary), Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain clear, accurate documentation of care and observations
Assist with meal service and feeding, respecting residents’ preferences
Work collaboratively with the care team to implement individualized care plans

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
Comfort working overnight hours and on a per diem schedule
Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for patient-centered care

Education

High school diploma or GED
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic nursing care
Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Competence in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
Good documentation practices and electronic charting comfort
Teamwork, empathy, and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting
