Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, keeping patient comfort and dignity front and center
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care
• Help create a positive, reassuring experience for patients and residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Active listing on the state CNA registry as applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem schedules
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work well in a fast-paced team setting
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility health requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• State-approved CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and bedside manner skills
• Familiarity with basic clinical observations and documentation
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
• Adaptability to changing patient conditions and shift needs
