Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on, compassionate patient care during overnight hours, assisting with activities of daily living
Support nursing staff with vital signs, patient monitoring, and timely documentation to keep care coordinated
Assist with safe transfers and mobility, prioritizing patient comfort and fall prevention
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care
Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control procedures
Respond to patient needs with empathy and professionalism during the night shift

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
Comfortable working overnight 12+ hour shifts
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Ability to perform physical aspects of patient care (lifting, turning, assisting with mobility)
Must meet facility onboarding requirements (health screenings, background check) — standard for patient-facing roles

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Basic vital signs and patient observation
Accurate documentation and charting
Infection prevention and safe patient handling
Compassionate bedside manner and effective teamwork
