Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support patient mobility and safe transfers while promoting independence
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Help ensure a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful, person-centered communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Valid state-required credentials and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfortable providing direct patient care and assisting with mobility and ADLs
• Willingness to complete background checks and health screenings as part of onboarding
• Reliable, compassionate, team-oriented attitude; previous long-term care or clinical experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong basic patient care skills and knowledge of ADLs
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with nursing staff
• Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
• Ability to document care accurately and follow care plans
• Awareness of infection prevention practices and resident safety principles
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy care setting
