Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations accurately
• Support safe transfers and mobility assistance for residents
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate changes to nursing staff
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and team members
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure each resident’s comfort and dignity

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Willingness and ability to work nights (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) including every other weekend and Tuesday–Thursday nights
• Comfort working in a long-term care/skilled nursing environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to meet facility onboarding requirements and background checks

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Resident-focused care and assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Basic patient observation and documentation practices
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Time management and the ability to work effectively on night shift
