Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, days vary, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Take and report routine vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling while maintaining dignity
Support nursing staff with routine tasks and accurate documentation
Create a positive, respectful environment by communicating clearly with residents and families
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep residents safe

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in New Mexico
Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings is a plus
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any required state screenings
Dependable, compassionate, and able to work evening/night shifts as scheduled

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Comfort with assisting residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
Ability to take vital signs, recognize changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
Strong communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and staff
Basic documentation and charting skills
Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety best practices
