Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Provide safe and compassionate support during transfers and mobility tasks
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, patients, and families to promote coordinated care
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies to ensure a safe environment
• Help create a positive, respectful atmosphere that supports patient dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to pass background check and any state-required screenings
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role including transfers and lifting
• Flexible availability for per diem shifts, including early mornings
• Prior long-term care or clinical experience is a plus but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

• Basic patient care and monitoring
• Accurate vital sign measurement and reporting
• Safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
