Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with diagnostic caths and interventional procedures including PCIs and peripheral interventions
• Scrub and circulate in the cardiac cath lab as needed to support safe, efficient procedures
• Manage specialized devices and procedures such as IVC filter placements and nephrostomy tube support
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging/fluoroscopy equipment and document procedure details in Cerner
• Support and train new nurses and techs by sharing your cath lab expertise and best practices
• Collaborate closely with RNs, physicians, and the care team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain procedural supplies and ensure equipment (GE, Sensis, Merge) is ready and functioning

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification (or equivalent technologist credential) required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; Fluoroscopy certification required
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab or interventional experience preferred
• Comfortable scrubbing and assisting in interventional cases; experience with PCIs, peripherals, diagnostic caths a must
• Familiarity with Cerner, Sensis, Merge and GE imaging equipment is a plus
• Ability to work day shifts and support team training and procedural flow

Education

• BSN not required
• Appropriate radiologic/technical certification or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cath lab procedural knowledge: PCIs, diagnostic caths, peripheral interventions
• Hands-on experience with IVC filters and nephrostomy tube procedures
• Fluoroscopy operation and radiation safety principles
• Charting and documentation in Cerner
• Familiarity with Sensis and Merge imaging systems and GE equipment
• Teamwork, communication, and the ability to train and mentor newer staff
