Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures using sterile technique and excellent patient care
• Operate and monitor imaging and cath lab equipment in compliance with ARRT standards
• Prepare patients and procedure rooms, ensure radiation safety, and maintain accurate procedure documentation
• Administer contrast and support fluoroscopy setup as directed, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to troubleshoot equipment and maintain inventory
• Participate in competency testing and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Valid ARRT certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Demonstrated Cath Lab experience (facility will verify skills and competencies)
• License and certificate verification as required by facility
• Completion of required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, TB test, Hepatitis B, influenza, Tdap, Varicella, drug screen, color-blind test, fit test)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist or cardiovascular technologist program preferred
• ARRT certification and applicable state licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and cath lab workflows
• Proficient with fluoroscopy equipment and radiation safety practices
• Skilled in patient monitoring and basic hemodynamic assessment
• Familiar with sterile technique, contrast handling, and procedure documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced procedural settings
