Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely clinical laboratory testing as an MLT, ensuring patient results are reliable and actionable
• Process, label, and prepare specimens for analysis while maintaining specimen integrity and traceability
• Conduct routine quality control checks and document results to maintain lab accreditation standards
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, troubleshoot issues, and escalate when needed
• Enter and verify results in the Laboratory Information System to keep patient records current
• Collaborate with nursing and provider teams to support patient care and communicate critical values promptly
• Complete required competency checks and necessary unit-based skills testing (Trinity Skills Checklist)

Qualifications

• MLT (ASCP) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Ability to pass Trinity Skills Checklist and License/Certificate Verification
• Meet required personal health and screening items: Fit Test, Trinity Color Vision, MMR, Hepatitis B, 2-Step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, Physical/Health Statement, COVID-19 vaccine, Influenza vaccine, and Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen
• Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred and a customer-focused approach to patient care

Education

• Certificate or Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in specimen handling, processing, and labeling best practices
• Familiarity with hematology, chemistry, and microbiology testing workflows
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation, quality control, and troubleshooting
• Comfortable using Laboratory Information Systems and documenting results accurately
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
