Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, safe med-surg and observation patient care with attention to detail
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; escalate changes in patient condition promptly
• Perform timely assessments and interventions using ACLS/BLS protocols when needed
• Float between Med/Surg and Observation units seamlessly to meet patient care needs
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure clear communication and continuity of care
• Provide on-call coverage as assigned and respond professionally to urgent needs

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state of practice requirements apply)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Experience in Med-Surg, Observation, and Telemetry nursing
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and taking assigned call
• Ability and willingness to float between Med/Surg and Observation units
• Must comply with the 100-mile radius rule — no permanent address within 100 miles of the hospital

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition skills
• Solid med-surg assessment and clinical judgment
• Proven ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize tasks on night shift
• Clear communication and teamwork under pressure
• Familiarity with emergency response protocols and ACLS/BLS application
