Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care on the telemetry unit, helping patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor telemetry and vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and timely in Cerner to keep the care team informed
• Assist nurses with procedures and patient repositioning to promote comfort and safety
• Support a safe healing environment by following infection-control and safety protocols
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Adapt to float assignments and help maintain continuity of care across units

Qualifications

• California CNA License (required) — you must be able to submit license
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years recent CNA experience, with at least one year in an acute care hospital setting
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and willing to float (First to Float)
• Experience with Cerner charting is a plus
• Professional, reliable, and patient-centered attitude

Education

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CA CNA) license required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and recognition of arrhythmias
• Acute care fundamentals and patient safety practices
• Electronic charting (Cerner) and accurate documentation
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and emergency response readiness
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
