Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanners to acquire high-quality diagnostic images with care and precision
- Follow radiation safety and ARRT standards to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and support teams to deliver timely imaging services
- Provide compassionate patient preparation, positioning, and education before scans
- Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and complete required checklists
- Participate in infection control practices and required health screenings to keep the department safe
Qualifications
- ARRT-CT certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- License/Certificate Verification as required by facility
- Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist prior to start
- Current fit test and required health screenings (drug screen, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, TB testing)
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist or CT program preferred
- ARRT (CT) certification required as listed in qualifications
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and dose reduction techniques
- Skilled in patient positioning and contrast administration fundamentals
- Familiarity with imaging documentation, PACS, and radiology workflow
- Ability to respond to clinical questions and urgent situations calmly and professionally
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA privacy and departmental policies
