Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the assigned unit
• Assess patient condition, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Respond to emergencies and call notifications promptly and effectively
• Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (state licensure required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or required depending on unit
• Prior acute care experience preferred (travel nurses often bring 1+ years of recent clinical experience)
• Comfortable working holidays, weekends, and participating in call rotation
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple patients safely
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safety protocols
• Good critical thinking and clinical decision-making under pressure
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with patients, families, and staff
