Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms closely, escalating changes promptly to optimize patient outcomes
• Deliver compassionate patient care including assessments, medication administration, and care planning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, timely discharges and transitions
• Document thoroughly and accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care
• Support unit workflows during admissions, transfers and procedures to maintain smooth operations
• Teach and coach patients and families on care plans and post-discharge needs with clarity and empathy

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to practice in Kansas or via compact licensure where applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with telemetry or progressive care exposure
• Strong telemetry monitoring skills and comfort recognizing arrhythmias
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred
• Proven ability to work well on a team in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Experience with EMR documentation and computerized medication administration

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Clinical assessment and acute patient management
• Proficiency with EMR systems and electronic charting
• Safe patient handling and familiarity with lifts, gait belts and mobility devices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask during high-acuity situations
