Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during assigned shift
Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized nursing plans
Administer medications and treatments according to facility policy
Accurately document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Educate patients and families to support recovery and healthy decisions
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Previous nursing experience in an acute, rehab, or similar clinical setting preferred
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work autonomously
Comfort working night shifts and adapting to variable per-diem schedules

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Medication administration and safe documentation practices
Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation
Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
Time management, prioritization, and patient advocacy
