Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality ICU nursing care for critically ill adults during night shifts, monitoring and responding to patient needs
• Float to Med-Surg when requested, delivering safe, patient-centered care across units
• Respond to on-call responsibilities, including 24-hour call shifts as scheduled
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the facility EMR (Meditech 6.0 experience preferred)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain certifications, follow unit policies, and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — current, active license required
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required and must be current
• ICU nursing experience (critical care focus is expected)
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg as needed
• Comfort with 12-hour night shifts and taking scheduled 24-hour on-call coverage
• Meditech 6.0 experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills for high-acuity patients
• Familiarity with ICU equipment, monitoring and interventions
• Ability to document clearly in electronic medical records (Meditech 6.0 preferred)
• Adaptability to float between ICU and Med-Surg when needed
• Effective communication and teamwork during night and on-call shifts
