Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct resident care including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) with dignity and respect
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking and recording vital signs and observing changes in condition
• Document care accurately and promptly in the facility charting system, ensuring clear communication with the care team
• Support mobility and safe transfers, promoting independence while preventing falls and injury
• Engage residents in meaningful conversation and social activities to support emotional well-being
• Collaborate with nurses and other staff to follow care plans and report any changes or concerns immediately
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current and active LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification required
• Travel LNA (T-LNA) experience or willingness to work as a travel caregiver is a plus
• Ability to work evening shifts and every-other-weekend rotation as required by the assignment
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks as required by facility policy
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a caring attitude toward residents

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant / LNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs, transfers, and basic bedside care
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and reporting changes
• Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, and basic emergency response
• Good time management, ability to prioritize tasks on a busy shift
• Professional bedside manner and the ability to build rapport with residents and families
