Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy treatments tailored to each patient’s needs
• Perform thorough patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using Cerner EMR
• Support community outreach by assisting with in-services and the Community Health Program
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Work independently in a Critical Access Hospital setting, taking ownership of your caseload

Qualifications

• Current Vermont Occupational Therapy license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent inpatient/acute Occupational Therapy experience
• Active American Heart Association BLS (AHA) certification
• Cerner EMR experience (required)
• Experience in a Critical Access Hospital (required)
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license — this is a firm requirement for this small community
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
• Travel experience preferred; travel pairs will not be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in OT treatments and patient evaluation best practices
• Strong documentation and records management skills
• Familiarity with community health programming and in-service delivery
• Comfortable using Cerner EMR for clinical documentation
• Able to adapt to a small community hospital environment and collaborate across teams
• Good time management, autonomy, and strong communication with patients and staff
