Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality med-surg telemetry nursing care to a moderate-acuity patient population
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly respond to clinical changes
• Administer medications, manage IVs and utilize Alaris pumps and other unit equipment safely
• Document all care and clinical decisions accurately in the Sunrise EMR
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members including monitor techs and unit leadership
• Support safe handling and care of bariatric and vascular patients with dignity and best practices
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge planning to promote recovery

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (required)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience as stated in the posting
• Strong telemetry experience and comfort with cardiac monitoring
• Med-surg experience and ability to manage typical unit patient ratios (approx. 1:4-5 days)
• Familiarity with Sunrise EMR
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and cover every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Experience with Alaris infusion pumps, bladder scanners, chest tube systems, Dinamaps and vein finders
• Solid med-surgical nursing assessment and prioritization skills
• Clear, timely clinical documentation in Sunrise EMR
• Strong communication and teamwork within a busy unit environment
• Comfort caring for bariatric and vascular patients
