Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Casa De Oro Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the medical record
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Support daily living activities while promoting independence and dignity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning with attention to safety and comfort

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (required) — ability to practice in New Mexico preferred
• Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Professional, reliable, and able to work well within a team-focused environment

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN vocational nursing program or diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Clinical assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and care teams
• Time management and prioritization during longer day shifts
• Familiarity with long-term care and skilled nursing workflows
