Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging exams (including abdomen, pelvis, chest, brain, spine and vascular CTAs) to provide clear diagnostic images
- Prepare and administer contrast media safely and start peripheral IVs when needed
- Operate Siemens and Toshiba CT scanners and manage image post-processing and multiplanar reconstructions
- Document procedures and patient data accurately in Epic for seamless continuity of care
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort while adhering to radiation safety protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and interdisciplinary teams to support timely diagnoses and patient flow
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS required
- Venipuncture certification required; fluoro permit and advanced certifications preferred
- Active state radiologic technologist license (pending licenses are not accepted)
- Minimum ~1 year CT experience preferred (first-time travelers are welcome)
- Comfortable floating between outpatient and hospital settings as needed
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT registration (as listed above)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with Epic charting and electronic documentation
- Experience with PACS and post-processing (multiplanar reconstruction)
- Hands-on experience with Siemens and Toshiba CT equipment
- Skilled in contrast administration, IV starts and venipuncture
- Familiarity with a broad range of CT procedures: CTA, arthrography, biopsies, myelography and transplant studies
- Strong patient care, communication and infection-control practices
