Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and manage complex wounds including pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, and surgical wounds with expert care
• Apply advanced treatments like wound vac therapy, sharp debridement, and hyperbaric oxygen to promote healing
• Perform ulcer risk assessments using Braden scale and prevention tools to safeguard patient skin integrity
• Provide colostomy and ileostomy care ensuring comfort and proper management
• Educate patients and families on wound care and symptom management for lasting recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a 212-bed acute care hospital to deliver outstanding outcomes

Qualifications

• RN license with 2+ years hospital wound care experience (hard requirement)
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• WOCN or Wound Care Certification mandatory
• First-time travelers welcome with 5+ years experience
• Epic experience highly preferred for seamless charting

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in wound vac therapy, debridement techniques, and advanced dressings
• Proficient in ulcer assessment, staging, and risk factor management
• Skilled in ostomy care, continence evaluation, and G-tube/J-tube management
• Strong infection control, isolation precautions, and patient teaching abilities
