Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care during labor and high-risk deliveries, making every moment count
• Perform independent sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients with confidence
• Assist with C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and newborn care to support families in their special moments
• Monitor fetal heart rates and manage medications like Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate expertly
• Provide postpartum support including breastfeeding assistance and wound care for smooth recoveries
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure top-notch patient outcomes

Qualifications

• RN license in hand, with at least 1.5 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience - 2 years preferred
• Must have AWHONN Advanced certification - it's a hard stop so come ready
• Proficient in Epic charting and ready to hit the ground running
• Certifications including ACLS, BCLS, and NRP required
• Comfortable floating to mother baby unit and working every other weekend

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) with relevant clinical training in Labor and Delivery

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in sterile vaginal exams, triage, and fetal monitoring including EFM and IUPC
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administering blood products
• Strong in high-risk delivery support, C-section procedures, and neonatal care like APGAR scoring
• Familiar with antepartum, postpartum, and couplet care in a busy L&D unit
