Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry for patients in step-down and PCU units
• Administer IV therapies, blood products, and medications with precision and care
• Provide respiratory support including BiPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management
• Respond rapidly to dysrhythmias and emergencies using telemetry expertise
• Deliver compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients across various diagnoses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float dynamically to PCU/stepdown areas including heart, brain, spine, and rehab units

Qualifications

• Active RN license with 2 years of recent PCU/stepdown experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience a must
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• NIHSS certification preferred, along with charge nurse experience

Education

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in arterial line, central line, and PICC management
• Skilled in heparin protocols, cardiac drips, and procedural sedation
• Strong respiratory skills like ABG interpretation and high flow nasal cannula
• Competent in wound care, isolation precautions, and rapid response participation
• Familiarity with renal failure management, insulin drips, and feeding tubes
