Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, weekends per unit needs

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry for step-down patients making a real difference
Administer IV therapies, central lines, and drips with precision and care
Respond swiftly to dysrhythmias and emergencies using rapid response teams
Provide respiratory support including BiPAP, chest tubes, and trach care
Deliver wound care and isolation precautions to ensure patient safety
Float across PCU areas including heart, brain, spine, and rehab units

Qualifications

Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications required
At least 2 years of recent PCU, step-down, or telemetry experience
EPIC charting experience to hit the ground running
NIHSS certification preferred for stroke-savvy nurses
Comfortable with 1:3-4 patient ratios in a fast-paced environment

Education

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry
Proficient in IV starts, arterial lines, PICC management, and phlebotomy
Skilled in managing vasoactive drips, heparin protocols, and procedural sedation
Strong respiratory skills like ABG interpretation and chest tube care
Familiar with feeding tubes, wound vacs, dialysis prep, and insulin titration
