Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4x10-Hour Mid shifts, 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM, no weekends, no on-call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care in pre-op, post-op, and PACU settings, ensuring smooth transitions for patients
Monitor and manage post-anesthesia recovery with ratios of 1:1 to 1:3-4
Administer medications, manage airways, and handle advanced procedures like central lines and chest tubes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, respiratory, and rapid response for top-notch patient outcomes
Educate patients on discharge instructions and follow up to promote lasting recovery

Qualifications

RN license with 2+ years of experience, including previous charge nurse duties
Proficiency across all phases of perioperative care
Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Education

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Epic charting system mastery
Cardiovascular patient care including post-cath lab and pacemaker procedures
Advanced IV therapy, phlebotomy, and respiratory management
Pain assessment, PCA pumps, and malignant hyperthermia protocols
Experience with diverse surgeries from ortho to neuro and plastics
