Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to PCU patients including transplant and critical cases
• Monitor telemetry and manage dysrhythmias to ensure patient stability
• Perform IV starts, PICC line management, and port access with precision
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams like PT, respiratory, and pharmacy for optimal outcomes
• Document accurately in Epic while maintaining a 1:5 patient ratio
• Float to equivalent units within the OSU network to broaden your impact

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience, or 4 years if MS/Tele background
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency in Epic charting system
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred to hit the ground running

Education

• RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and PICC management
• Strong in non-invasive airway management, nasal cannula, and IV insulin protocols
• Comfortable with abdominal transplant care, AKI, GI bleeds, and hepatology
