Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional care in East Tower units including General Surgery, Trauma, Vascular, Wound, and Plastics
Float confidently to equivalent or lower acuity units making a real difference
Monitor telemetry and manage dysrhythmias to keep patients stable
Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, and advanced respiratory care with skill
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams like IV, PT, and Rapid Response for optimal outcomes

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg Telemetry experience
Current BLS certification
Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and intermediate nursing skills
Mandatory prior experience with Epic charting system
Comfortable with 1:4-5 patient ratios in a dynamic environment

Education

RN licensure in Ohio or compact state

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, PICC line management, and port access
Proficient with chest tubes, trach care, wound vacs, and surgical drains
Experienced in managing PCA pumps, heparin drips, and insulin protocols
Strong in isolation precautions, substance withdrawal, and flaps/leech therapy
