Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams across a range of modalities including abdominal, OB/GYN, neonatal/pediatric, superficial structures and vascular duplex studies
• Execute ultrasound-guided procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, drainages and intraoperative imaging with precision and safety
• Assess images for technical quality and pertinent findings, documenting results in Meditech EMR and storing studies in Fuji Synapse PACS
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and the care team to ensure timely, patient-centered imaging and follow-up
• Provide compassionate patient education and preparation for procedures, adapting communication for pediatric and neonatal patients
• Respond to on-call requests as needed and float to other units to support clinical coverage
• Maintain equipment awareness and report issues promptly to keep the department running smoothly

Qualifications

• ARDMS: AB (Abdomen) certification required
• ARDMS: OB certification required
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) required
• Active BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an acute hospital setting
• Proven experience with Canon i700 equipment and vascular duplex imaging
• Proficiency using Meditech EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS
• Comfort working with neonatal/pediatric patients and performing ultrasound-guided procedures
• Willingness to float to other departments and participate in on-call rotations

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic ultrasound across abdomen, OB/GYN, neonatal/pediatric and superficial structures
• Ultrasound-guided procedural skills (aspirations, biopsies, drainages, intraoperative)
• Vascular duplex imaging and segmental pressure studies for upper and lower extremities
• Strong competency with PACS (Fuji Synapse) and Meditech EMR workflow
• Ability to produce and assess high-quality images and recognize common pathologies
• Patient-centered communication and pediatric/neonatal care techniques
• Team collaboration, flexibility to float, and on-call responsiveness
