Shift Type: Day shift, start between 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM, 10-hour days (specific days of week not provided)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure all surgical instruments are ready
Assist orthopedic surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and handling implants
Perform instrument and sponge counts and document accurately for patient safety
Verify functionality of surgical equipment and troubleshoot minor issues
Complete Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing as required
Comply with infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies
Communicate clearly with the OR team to coordinate efficient, patient-centered care

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
BLS certification required
License/certificate verification required prior to start
Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing required
Must meet facility health requirements including vaccinations, fit test and drug screen
Experience in orthopedic surgical cases preferred

Education

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong sterile technique and operating room protocols
Familiarity with orthopedic instruments, implants and instrumentation sets
Accurate instrument counting and documentation skills
Team-oriented communication and ability to support the surgical team under pressure
Basic life support knowledge and adherence to safety procedures
