Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self-scheduling, 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating call one weekday and one weekend per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in open-heart and endovascular surgeries with precision and care
Prepare and maintain a sterile field to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the entire OR team
Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment expertly
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during complex procedures

Qualifications

Active Colorado DORA certification required
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential required
Must have open heart and endovascular experience
Must live outside a 60-mile radius from the facility (travel position)

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular and endovascular surgical procedures
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity OR environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with all levels of staff
Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control practices
Flexibility to adapt to self-scheduling, block scheduling, and on-call requirements
