Location: Kansas City, Missouri

End Date: 05-18-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with rotating weekends preferred but flexible

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert speech therapy services across both acute care and inpatient rehab settings
Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and support video swallow studies
Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team in a Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke center
Deliver personalized care to a diverse patient population with varied diagnoses
Document efficiently using Meditech while ensuring high-quality patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active Missouri state SLP license required
Minimum 2 years of speech therapy experience
Comfortable working in both acute care and inpatient rehab environments
Experience with bedside swallow evaluations preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
Familiarity with TIMS equipment and Meditech documentation
Ability to manage a shared caseload across multiple units
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
