Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a rural LDRP setting
- Triage patients and confidently serve as the baby catcher and transition nurse
- Titrate Pitocin drips to support safe labor progression
- Collaborate with on-call providers to ensure timely, high-quality care
- Support postpartum recovery and newborn bonding with expert guidance
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications
- Trained in LDRP nursing and comfortable functioning independently
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for labor and delivery
- Ability to read fetal monitoring strips and respond appropriately
- Comfort working in a small, rural hospital environment
- Flexibility to float to Med-Surg when needed (rarely)
