Respiratory Therapist
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Start Date: 07-13-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Day Shift, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Three twelve-hour shifts weekly (36 hours)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide continuous airway management for patients across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
- Manage and support ventilator and non-invasive ventilator care
- Collaborate with physicians to deliver comprehensive respiratory treatments
- Perform CPR and all aspects of respiratory care with skill and compassion
- Utilize computerized charting and medication management systems to ensure accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Active RRT credential required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- NRP preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Hawaii respiratory therapist license (or application submitted prior to start)
- No first assignments accepted
Knowledge & Skills
- Airway management expertise
- Ventilator management including PB 980, PB 840, and V60 models
- Para Pac transport ventilator operation
- Strong clinical judgment across diverse patient populations
- Proficiency with computerized charting and Pyxis medication systems
