Emergency Room Nurse

Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona

Start Date: 09-16-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour Night Shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 7 days on/7 days off, flexible to cover day shifts, holidays, and weekends as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across the Main ED, Fast Track, and Observation Unit
Rotate through triage, quick registration, and entry screening to keep patient flow smooth
Respond quickly and confidently to emergencies while supporting patients and families
Collaborate with a dedicated team that truly relies on each other
Float to other qualified departments when needed to ensure excellent coverage

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 3 years recent Emergency Room nursing experience
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC), and TNCC certifications
Conscious sedation certification (can be obtained after offer)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills in fast-paced settings
Comfort rotating between multiple ED areas daily
Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient volumes and needs
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
