Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across multiple MS-Tele units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities such as St. Catherine Garden City, Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, and St. Catherine Dodge City
Monitor and titrate Heparin drips while caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
Respond to low-census call needs and remain flexible to fill scheduling gaps across the zone

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Neuro experience preferred along with familiarity using Alaris pumps and EPIC charting

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for varied patient populations
Ability to float between general MS-Tele and specialty areas such as Cardiac, Neuro, and Trauma
Comfortable reading telemetry strips and managing stable long-term placement patients
Excellent communication and adaptability for Just-In-Time assignments and multi-facility floating
