Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied start times between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM, occasional weekend coverage required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional physical therapy care across acute care units including MedSurg, ICU, Telemetry, Oncology, and Cardiology
Provide specialized treatment for ventilated patients and post-surgical ortho and total joint cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized rehabilitation plans
Support patients through their entire hospital journey from admission to discharge
Mentor and guide rehab techs while maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist license in California
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Strong background in ortho, total joints, ICU, and ventilated patient care
Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive understanding of acute care physical therapy across multiple specialties
Ability to adapt quickly and provide care for diverse patient populations
Strong clinical skills in orthopedic, cardiac, and critical care rehabilitation
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Comfort working with ventilated patients in ICU settings
