Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips each shift to ensure patient safety
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Collaborate with the care team on a 49-bed telemetry unit with 1:5 nurse ratios
Support patients recovering from total joint replacements and those with CVA or TIA history
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to deliver excellent care across the facility

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Preferred experience with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement patients
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Comfort managing set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and support staff
