Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients through formal and informal testing to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular function
Create personalized, goal-focused treatment plans based on thorough assessments and patient tolerance
Coordinate with physicians to develop and update comprehensive plans of care
Design treatment schedules that balance frequency and duration with patient needs and family involvement
Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment options, and recovery expectations
Delegate appropriate tasks to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides while maintaining quality care standards

Qualifications

Active Michigan Physical Therapist License required
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Outpatient physical therapy experience required
Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities

Knowledge & Skills

Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment techniques
Patient assessment and goal setting
Treatment planning and progress monitoring
Patient and family education strategies
Documentation and compliance standards
Collaboration with PTAs and clinical support staff
