Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetic, and post-surgical patients
Interpret telemetry strips and sign documentation at least once per shift
Collaborate with remote monitor techs and the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety
Support patients recovering from general, orthopedic, and spinal surgeries as well as stroke and TIA cases
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to expand your skill set and support the broader team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and basic strip reading
Comfort with BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment
Strong assessment and documentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and aides
Flexibility to float between units and campuses
