Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and respond promptly to any changes in patient condition
Collaborate with the care team to manage patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes diagnoses
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed while maintaining excellent patient outcomes
Mentor and support nursing assistants with a 1:10 or 2:20 patient care tech ratio

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not be currently employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac monitoring and drip titration expertise
EEG monitoring experience
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
