Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry, titrate cardiac and critical drips, and manage arterial lines
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with cardiac, vascular, renal, and respiratory conditions
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining excellent patient experience scores
Serve a diverse patient population, including Hispanic and Somalian communities, with cultural sensitivity and clear communication

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in arterial line management and telemetry interpretation
Minimum one year of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and drip titration
Strong communication and adaptability
Team collaboration and willingness to accept feedback
Cultural competence with diverse patient populations
